Quaff is a band that did everything right… but never could get their act together. They’ve been around since 2001 but are relatively unknown for no good reason. They had a great music style that’s fun to listen to. They had two great vocalists (a singer and an MC/Rapper). They had a spazzy image and some unique outlooks on the music scene. But they just couldn’t seem to get their shit together. In 2006 they lost their drummer and guitarist and had to replace both. Then in 2010 everyone except the guitarist MAKITO up and left the band. MAKITO recruited four all new members to the band after that… and then they disbanded a year later.
Personally I like all their music up till 2009, before all the original members left. Their vocalist MC/Rapperwere both great and they complimented eachother really well. Their crazy musical concept implimented a lot of traditional Japanese instruments and vocal naunces in a comical way to make their music unique. The band members were all talented but they didn’t seem to take themselves too seriously. They weren’t afraid to play around and have fun with their music. Though most of their music is considered hard rock, it’s strays far from the usual dark and emo image most bands go with.
